The hanger had seen better days, and was clearly prone to leaks. Nancy pointed out the precarious leak-protection system to me: Plastic sheets, collecting water and sending it towards off-the-shelf plastic gutters, taped together with duct tape and draining... to the wall? Not to the outside? They were so lucky it didn't pour.
