The Kid is two, by the way

And I'm already embarrassing her. Today on the drive home from school:

Kid: "I had blueberry snack."

DAE: "Was it yummy?"

Kid: "Yeah. Got blueberry on my blanket."

DAE: "Uh oh."

Kid: "Yeah."

DAE: (bluesy) "Got blueberries on my blanket...
but it still will keep me warm.
Yeah, I got blueberries on my blanket...
but it still will keep me warm.
I tried to protect it, but my blanket came to harm."

Kid: "That silly, daddy. Stop singing."

Oh yeah ;-) So what did you do...

a) stop singing as requested

b) remind her to say please first and then stop singing as requested

c) keep singing, louder and with a sillier voice.

I'll answer that: Any father worth his salt knows that the answer is C.

What impresses me is that you managed to embarrass her, not only so soon, but when there wasn't even anyone else around!

Happy birthday to the blueberry girl.
